About Me

Software Engineer located in Elk Grove, California. I have 14 years of full stack experience working on ASP.Net and C#. I have some experience with operations tooling including contributions to the CI/CD pipelines during my professional career. I also have professional experience with both AWS and GCP as well as experience working with Node and React.

I used to participate in Meet Up groups, and give presentations. I really miss communicating with others about technology. I’m hoping this site will scratch that itch for me.

In my spare time, I like to do some wood working, 3d printing, and sometimes drawing. Some of my hobby projects have even been written up under the hobbies tag on this site.

About my Last Name

My last name used to be Albertson. When I got married, my wife wanted to reclaim a name from her family tree, and I thought it would be a lovely idea if we both reclaimed a name to hyphenate. My wife picked her grandmother’s last name: Keane. I went a bit further back to my great grandmother’s maiden name Galloway. We also decided to have a fixed order to our last name, because “Keane” sounds like “keen” so we thought putting it first would sound more like an adjective describing our other name.

Another item of note about my last name is that in 19th century, Margaret Galloway was bit by a dog with rabbies. There was no way to treat her in Glasgow at the time. The other person to be bit by the same dog was a postman that ended up being smothered to death as an act of euthenasia. Margaret’s grandfather happened to be a master cabnet maker in the shipyards in Glasgow, and paid for my great grandmother to travel to Paris where she was treated by Louis Pasture. My mother reached out to the Pasture Institue and they still have documentation on Margaret Galloway in their archives.
